Rökvale Medieval idle RPG

Version history

Everything that changed in each game update, newest first. The installed game updates itself when it opens.

  1. build 26

    Version 0.1.3

    Fixes

    • Farm chest: storing seeds, materials and any other stack works again — the "how many?" window opened hidden behind the chest and blocked clicks. The same fix applies to the forest screens.
  2. build 25

    Version 0.1.3

    New

    • Every epic and legendary piece now has its own effect: the sword hunts a race, the axe steals life, the bow lands more crits, the staff boosts magic, the mace hits bosses harder, and armor grants HP, resistance, EXP, capture chance or more materials.
    • Each family (Rune, Mithril, Dragon and Abyss) forms a set: wearing 2 and 4 different pieces turns on extra bonuses. Companions can complete sets too.
    • The item card shows the set, how many pieces you wear and what each tier grants.
    • New guide on the website: Equipment sets, with each class's combinations and where every piece drops.
  3. build 20

    Version 0.1.3

    Improvements

    • The Album book is now bigger and wider, filling the screen better, with easier-to-read text and icons.
    • Marks: the list sits on the left page and the chosen Mark on the right, with an aligned buy button. To nail one, search the species by name in a list of those you have already hunted.
    • The combat sheet now shows the Evasion Mark's effect against the marked monster.
  4. build 19

    Version 0.1.3

    Improvements

    • The Album is now a book that fills the whole window. Bestiary, Bosstiary, Marks and Cards are bookmark ribbons on its edge, with icons, and every section turns its pages with the arrows.
  5. build 18

    Version 0.1.3

    Improvements

    • The Card album is now a deposit: put a card in (it leaves your bag) and take it out whenever you want (it comes back). A page's bonus only counts while all its cards are deposited.
    • The Card album is now a book: each page is a map, and the arrows flip through it with a page-turn sound.
  6. build 17

    Version 0.1.3

    Improvements

    • Esc now opens a menu in the middle of the screen with Settings and Quit game (in town, on the farm and in the forest). Press Esc again or click outside to close it.
    • Work Mode on PC: the mini window now shows the whole fight, has a frame and can be dragged anywhere on screen (it remembers where you left it). Double-click it to go back to the game.
    • The mini window counts the gold, items and time of your work session, and when you go back to the game it shows a summary of what the party brought home.
    • Round Strategy, Capture and Back to the game buttons sit on the edge of the frame, out of the fight's way. Strategy and Capture open full size and the mini window comes back on its own when you close them.
    • When the stage boss falls and the next stage unlocks, a portal shows up next to the chest. Click it to send the party straight to the next stage.
    • The fight at the bottom of the screen can be hidden (and shown again) with a button in the corner, and the game remembers your choice. On mobile, Work Mode is gone: there it only went fullscreen.
  7. build 16

    Version 0.1.3

    New

    • Player market: the Market button in the bottom menu opens the storefront. List items from your bag at a price per unit and buy what other players put up for sale, with search, categories and each item's average price.
    • On the market, items go whole, with refine, quality and socketed cards. The seller pays a 5% fee on the sale, and anything that does not fit in your bag waits in the market Mailbox.
    • Card album: a new Cards tab in the Album, with one page per map. Completing a page gives a permanent bonus to the whole party.
    • The extra strike from autocast cards now shows in battle, with the element's effect and the damage number.

    Improvements

    • Removing a card from an item now costs 1,000,000 gold per attempt and succeeds 40% of the time. On failure the card stays in the item and only the gold is lost. The button asks for confirmation before spending.
    • Capture Writs now have a description: what they are for, that one is spent per attempt and each monster's base chance.
  8. build 15

    Version 0.1.3

    New

    • Every monster now has its own card with a unique effect: damage against a race, resistance to an element, elemental armor, a bonus strike on attack, more EXP or more materials.
    • Cards now go into equipment with card slots: in the bag, tap the card and pick the piece. Removing a card costs gold and you get it back intact.
    • Common monster cards drop at 0.05% and boss cards, the strongest ones, at 0.02%.
  9. build 14

    Version 0.1.3

    Fixes

    • The Beauty Salon now has a close (X) button: on mobile there was no way to leave it.
    • When picking a quantity to buy, sell, store or capture, mobile now opens just the number pad, and only when you tap the number.
  10. build 13

    Version 0.1.3

    New

    • Name your farm chests: the Settings button on the chest changes its name and picks which friends may use it.
    • Chest log: see which friend stored or took what, and when, over the last 40 moves.
    • When a friend uses one of your chests, you are told right away if you are online, or when you enter your farm.
    • At the workbench, the row to build an extra chest is now at the top of the list.

    Fixes

    • Removing a friend now also removes their access to your chests; if you become friends again, you need to allow them again.
    • We fixed an economy issue in shared chests.
  11. build 11

    Version 0.1.2

    Improvements

    • Installing the newest version from the website now opens the game right away, without downloading the update again.
  12. build 10

    Version 0.1.2

    New

    • In shops, drag an item from your backpack to the trader to sell it, or from the shelf to your backpack to buy it.
    • A single item goes straight away; a stack asks how many. Tick "Group on drag" to sell the whole stack without asking — the choice is remembered.

    Fixes

    • Selling a single item in a shop no longer clears the other items you had selected to sell.
    • The last row of items in the shop no longer gets cut off after a purchase.
  13. build 9

    Version 0.1.2

    Fixes

    • The update download bar now actually moves and shows how many MB have been downloaded.
  14. build 7

    Version 0.1.1

    Improvements

    • The game now remembers that you signed in: when you open it again, you don't need to log in again.
    • The start screen now has e-mail, password and the Sign in with Google button right away, without another screen.
    • The game now opens with the Rökvale logo.
  15. build 6

    Version 0.1.1

    New

    • Combat bar: each hero and companion brings up to 4 active spells and skills into battle. Set it up in Team › Spells & Skills by dragging them into the slots.
    • Skills now have a cast time: DEX shortens the wait and INT makes spells stronger. While casting, the hero doesn't use basic attacks.
    • SP is here: every skill costs SP. In the Spire your SP carries over between floors, and the Blue Potion refills it mid-fight.
    • Three new active skills for every class, and Spire preparation now includes a mana potion and an elixir, visible to the whole party.
    • Extra homestead chests: the Workbench builds up to 4 chests besides the one in the house.
    • Each chest has its own friends list: use the Friends button to choose who can store and take items in it when they visit your homestead. Everyone else sees it locked.
    • Hard and Inferno modes in Maps: monsters with more health and strength, plus more EXP and gold. Each mode unlocks once you beat the stage boss on the previous mode.
    • Every piece of gear that drops now rolls a quality, from Normal to Legendary: the better it is, the more attack or defense and the higher its sell price. Hard and Inferno bring the top qualities.
    • Every Endless Spire boss is now an MVP: far stronger than the stage boss, with an earthquake that hits the whole party, minions that join mid-fight and an enrage if the fight drags on.
    • Whoever deals the most damage is the floor's MVP: they get an extra boss chest roll and their name is announced to the whole town.
    • One climb a week per account, resetting every Monday at midnight (Brasília). If the whole party falls, the climb is over.
    • Whoever falls stays down: between floors, a standing ally can raise them with a Yggdrasil Leaf (General Store) or the Cleric's new Resurrection.
    • Potions now belong to the fight: during preparation you pick which one to bring, and the hero drinks it on their own when HP drops.

    Improvements

    • Each stage's loot now follows its level range: gear far above it no longer drops on low-level maps, and every stage hands out pieces that fit the players there.
    • The town's shops got new interiors: a counter with the shopkeeper behind it and shelves stocked with each trade's goods.
    • The tavern now has a bar counter, a wall of drinks and tables with chairs; the blacksmith's forge, the salon and the general store were redrawn too.
    • Clicking the counter starts a chat with the shopkeeper, and clicking furniture or shelves inside a shop walks your hero there without heading out the door.

    Fixes

    • We fixed economy issues and several gameplay bugs.
    • The Forge Seal in the Friendship Shop now costs 200 Friendship Coins.
    • Order Contracts: last week's reward can still be collected after the week rolls over.
    • When an action fails, the panel now shows why instead of failing silently. Clicking a building walks your hero to its door, and town signs are clickable.
